SellerScope

Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 July 2026

The short version. The SellerScope extension has no account system, no analytics and no telemetry. Every figure it shows is calculated inside your browser from the page you are already looking at. Your saved products, tracked competitors and recorded history are stored on your own device and are never transmitted to us. We operate no server that receives your research unless you deliberately turn one on.

This policy explains what the SellerScope browser extension and this website do with information. It applies to the extension, to sellerscope.purohitakshay18.workers.dev, and to the optional SellerScope account service described in section 4.

1. Who we are

SellerScope is operated by Clarigo Infotech Private Limited, Office No. M1, Plot-22, Sarasvati Plaza, Scheme-53, Vijay Nagar, Indore, Madhya Pradesh 452010, India. For any privacy question, correction or deletion request, write to info@clarigoinfotech.com. We answer within 30 days, and usually far sooner.

2. What the extension stores on your device

The extension keeps data in your browser's extension storage. Three areas are used, and they behave differently:

What Where Leaves your device?
Saved products and keywords, tracked competitors and the price, rank and review history recorded for them, X-Ray sessions, in-extension notifications, and a cache of recently parsed pages chrome.storage.local No. It stays in your browser profile.
Your settings — theme, default marketplace, default cost assumptions used by the profit calculator, and notification preferences chrome.storage.sync Only through your own Google account, if you have Chrome Sync enabled, so your configuration follows you between machines. This is handled by Google, not by us, and we never receive it.
The last panel you opened, so the interface reopens where you left it chrome.storage.session No. It is discarded when the browser closes.

You can erase all of it at any time from the extension's Settings screen, or by uninstalling the extension — removal takes the storage with it.

3. What the extension reads from Amazon pages

When you visit a supported Amazon marketplace, the extension reads publicly visible information from the page in front of you — titles, prices, Best Sellers Rank, review counts, seller and fulfilment details, images and search results. This is the raw material for the sales, fee and profit estimates it displays.

That reading and every calculation on top of it happen locally, in your browser. The page contents are not sent to us. The extension does not read pages on any site other than the nine Amazon marketplaces it declares, and it never has access to your Amazon password, payment methods or order history.

4. The optional account service

This is switched off by default and the extension is fully functional without it. Nothing in this section applies unless you enter a server address in Settings and sign in.

If you choose to enable it, the service receives and stores:

If a paid plan exists and you subscribe, payment is handled by our payment provider. We receive a subscription status and an identifier from them. We never see or store your card details.

5. What we never do

6. Why the extension asks for each permission

Permission Why it is needed
storage, unlimitedStorage Keep your settings, saved products and locally recorded price history
sidePanel The main research interface
tabs Detect which marketplace and page type you are viewing
alarms Schedule background competitor checks
contextMenus Right-click to research a selected phrase or track a product
notifications Alert you when a tracked competitor's price or rank changes
scripting Draw the metrics overlay onto Amazon pages
offscreen Parse fetched HTML, which a background service worker cannot do on its own
Access to nine Amazon domains Read product data from the marketplace page you are viewing

Access to the optional account server is requested separately and only at the moment you enable it.

7. How long anything is kept

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live — including the EU and UK under the GDPR, and California under the CCPA — you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, obtain a portable copy, and object to or restrict processing. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Because the extension holds your data on your own machine, most of these rights are exercised directly: open Settings and clear the data. For an account, use the account deletion control, or write to info@clarigoinfotech.com and we will act within 30 days.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.

9. Legal basis for processing

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract to run the account service you have signed up for, on legitimate interests to keep the service secure and functioning, and on consent where you have explicitly enabled an optional feature. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by disabling the feature.

10. Service providers

If you use the optional account service, we rely on a small number of providers acting on our instructions: an application host, a managed database provider, Google for sign-in, and a payment provider for subscriptions. Each is bound by contract to process data only as directed. Data may be processed outside your country, protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Children

SellerScope is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Security

The account service is served over TLS, passwords are never handled by us because sign-in is delegated to Google, and sessions can be revoked at any time. No system is perfectly secure, but the amount of your data we hold is deliberately small — often none at all.

13. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects account holders, notify them by email. Continuing to use SellerScope after a change means you accept the revised policy.
